How are things?
/Did you know the Fabric staff and a email team spend time each week with our physical and virtual communication cards? It is one of the ways we connect and support each other in all the joys and hard things of life. And in being Fabric together.
Space and a willingness to put the real stuff of life on the table has been a hallmark of this community since its beginning. That shared honesty turns despair and wishful thinking into hope and transformation. It feels like prayer. A pause to hold ourselves and others - with all the stuff - in the fresh air of the wild, loving, lifey reality we are a part of together.
Prayer isn’t like going to a vending machine. We often end up with more questions than answers. But somehow it is one of the deeply meaningful, clarifying, connective things we practice. So whether it’s a heartfelt piece of feedback, a joke, a drawing, a simple hello, a request for help or prayer…you are part of this goodness when you share something on your communication card on Sundays or here (anytime). Thank you!
Prayer often gets put in a box and can carry some baggage. Here are some “hacks” shared by Fabric staff to free you up with some prayer ideas and perspectives to try on your own and with others.
Interested in being part of the email prayer team? You’ll get a weekly email and pause to read and remember the prayers at a time that works. Confidentiality is an important part of being on the team. Thanks! Email Katy
