This season, we’re talking about waiting— but not a passive kind. It’s the kind of waiting that hums with hope, aches with longing, and rolls up its sleeves to make peace and joy a little more possible right now. In a world fraying at the edges, we pause to ask: what are we waiting for? Healing? Justice? Connection? Contentment?

Through candlelight and community, laughter and lament, we’ll explore how waiting can prepare the ground for something new to grow. 

And on Christmas Eve, we’ll celebrate the mystery at the heart of it all: a story so big and so small— that the infinite would show up in the tiniest of ways, reminding us that even in the vastness of things, love is born right here. November 30 | The Deer (Waiting In the Dark). We begin in the dark, where longing and hope often reside. It’s where we gather the honesty and courage to name what’s missing, and dare to hope anyway. What are you waiting for? Justice, healing, peace, belonging? Waiting can feel like nothing is happening… but it’s also where everything begins.

December 7 | The Wolf (Preparing the Way). Waiting isn’t passive. It’s clearing space, setting things right, building peace one choice at a time. Oftentimes, it’s by virtue of being exactly who we’ve been created to be that we shape the landscape, create “home” in the wilderness, and making room for joy, peace, hope, and love to show up in their own time.
