AKA God

What do those three letters, G-O-D, conjure up for you? Is it big enough for what you imagine God might be? More and more people today have trouble with what those who toss that name around have in mind; to the point they just don’t believe in God at all. Fabric sits uneasily in this too. How can we think about, talk about that which is too big for our words and ideas, but yet we want to know and share? Here are three weeks for us to each take a step toward a, perhaps, less convenient, but more authentic, um, you know, That.

March 27 - AKA God: Who was God in the Bible? Prepare to be surprised! Over the centuries the Bible stories have been packaged to portray a God that doesn’t look quite like that which was written about 1000s of years ago. It’s time to reclaim that bigger vision. So let’s take a deeper look at what those writers were portraying to glimpse a God that wasn’t created in our own image. EPISODE PAGE.

April 3 - AKA God: God in a Box Whether you know it or not, whether you are a believer, agnostic, or an atheist, you’ve got a God Box. It holds your understanding, language, and experience of “God.” While I don’t know what your God Box is like, I do know it is too small. They always are and always will be. That’s not the problem. April 10 - AKA God: Who is your God? Yeah, who is, what is your “God”? And who and what isn’t your “God”? This week will give you a chance to wrap your head around this for yourself.
