Togethering - Surgeon General Vivek Murthy named loneliness the number one challenge to health in America. And that was before the pandemic! With all the disconnecting, we need more togethering! While your drive and ability to connect may be buried under some layers, they haven’t gone anywhere. Everyday they give you the opportunity to help someone heal, weave a healthier self and a healthier society. Sounds a lot like what Fabric is all about! Don’t miss these weeks that set the stage for our summer of exploring what it means to be together as Fabric as we send Greg and Kris off for sabbatical!
May 29 - Togethering Takes Time Alone - Love your neighbor. If this was easy, perhaps the things being held this Memorial Day weekend in our own hearts and around the country would not be so terribly heavy. The long-held wisdom Jesus shared nestled “love your neighbor” between two other calls to love: God and, foundationally, yourself. That means spending some quality time with yourself! Maybe you have too much of that, or not enough. Maybe it sounds boring. Or terrifying. Join us at Field this Sunday, on livestream or the podcast to explore solitude as a building block of togethering.
