Start the year off…Doing Something Good! Jan 2 @ 10:30am
We’re partnering with Doing Good Together for an open style service fair. The service fair will feature a variety of opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to do simple and fun hands-on projects that benefit non-profit organizations and help meet the needs in our community. Come ready for action. All ages are needed! Bring friends, neighbors, hey, even relatives!
Here are the projects we’ll be tackling (projects listed may changes as we get closer to January 2)…
Fleece Scarves - Cut fringe and embellish a fleece scarf with beads for children in need of warm winter gear.
Non-Toxic Cleaner - Mix non-toxic cleaner for individuals receiving food shelf support.
Whisper Phones & Reading to Learn Kits - Decorate whisper phones and canvas bags. Assemble Reading to Learn Kits
Community Cares Snack Packs - Pack a bag of delicious goodies to share with women who attend weekly grief-support meetings for those who have lost custody of their children.
Home Key Chains - Create a beaded keychain and kind gift tag for Aeon to distribute to new homeowners who formerly were experiencing homelessness.
Furniture Assembly - Construct nightstands and coffee tables for individuals receiving support to furnish their homes
Also, bring a dry food donation. Middle Schooler, Moon, is collecting food for his food drive every Sunday through January 30.
Donations to defray the cost of supplies are appreciated! Click here to donate online.
