We live in a compromised…let’s face it…endangered world because we have thought it was our place. To find our way forward to a healthy, sustainable environment we need to learn our place within it not over it. This will be hard, but it is possible, and it is the way it is meant to be. Join us for our last three weeks at Minnehaha Falls as we create hope and a vision for Our Place.

August 20 - Our Place is Finite and it is One: Two realities to face: that our world is not inexhaustible but limited, and that it is a whole, everything connected. Those may sound like problems but they are really keys. Keys to how we can find our way forward and know our place within this planet we share with everything else. The climate crisis is real. Things have to change but when we become part of this one limited world we discover that the change is exactly what we are made for. Our place.

August 27 - Preparing Our Kids for Our Place: A lot has to change for us to find our place and help our world regain its health. One of the greatest needs to get there is to raise our kids to know their place so they make better choices than previous generations. Brenda Casselius, Exec Dir of Fresh Energy (fresh-energy.org) and previously Sup’t of Boston Public Schools, and MN Sec of Education will share from her experience what she sees as hope and action areas for all of us, but especially our children.

September 3 - Hope & Action for Our Place: What to do in the face of a climate crisis? Does what you do matter? Are you doing enough? Who is to blame for all this? We have emotional reactions to questions like these and the situation may make you feel powerless, but you aren’t. We are going in search of some better questions born of bigger perspectives that can reshape our dilemmas into something we don’t dare wait around for but can be part of making happen.
