Every single one of us is needed for and will benefit from the long-haul work of undoing racism. Are you wondering what your next move is? Here is one solid opportunity for Fabric to give a jump to the common work we can do better together than on our own! The Next Faithful Move is an exciting, invitational new offering developed by Joe Davis and Dave Scherer. It starts Monday eve October 12. There is also a Thursday option (don’t be scared off by the “church leader” language).
The course is a financial commitment as well. If finances are the only thing preventing you from being a part of this, let us know! With some grant funds dedicated to Fabric’s anti-racism practice and action, our team is happy to sponsor you for $100 (or more if needed) to make this affordable for you (apply here!)
Finally, this particular commitment may not make sense, work in your life right now or be the best next move for you. White folks have different work around race than people who identify as Black, Indigenous, Brown and Multi-racial for example. People from Fabric and Intertwine are working together to connect people and curate times and spaces that makes sense for individuals for ongoing anti-racism practice and healing with others. Contact Erin Tripolino to learn more or share ideas.
