The Art of Togethering - Let’s just name it: our nerves, relationships, communities and our ecosystems are frayed. We know there are more together ways of being together! And as much as science has revealed about how we humans and our planet are wired and work, there is an art to being together in life-giving ways that Fabric seeks to cultivate! Join us (adults and kids too!) Sundays in July to experience and explore The Art of Togethering with different Twin Cities artists (lots of them actually!) each week.
July 3: Art & Togethering with Joe Davis - “We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.” ~ Joe Davis. Joe Davis is a Minneapolis-based artist, speaker, poet and author of We Rise Higher, a new collection of poems for graduates. Joe is shaping culture across the country one shared experience of honesty and joy at a time. Expect a new discovery or two about how it works and feels to weave life deeply with yourself, others and even that 3rd strand you might call “God.” All you and your friends have to do is show up. Joe and Fabric together will take us from there! And plan on some Minneapolis goodness from The (new!) Get Down Coffee Company and La Michoacana ice cream.
And check out the Fabric Scraps Podcast too! Melissa Lock has a conversation with artist Joe Davis about his backstory as an artist and how we can all see the art within us and at our disposal.
