What do those three letters, G-O-D, conjure up for you? Is it big enough for what you imagine God might be? More and more people today have trouble with what those who toss that name around have in mind; to the point they just don’t believe in God at all. Fabric sits uneasily in this too. How can we think about, talk about that which is too big for our words and ideas, but yet we want to know and share? Here are three weeks for us to each take a step toward a, perhaps, less convenient, but more authentic, um, you know, That.
April 10 - AKA God: Who is your God? Yeah, who is, what is your “God”? And who and what isn’t your “God”? This week will give you a chance to wrap your head around this for yourself. It’s not an easy task and it’s not just an intellectual one! Language for and ideas about God are often used to separate or unite people in unhealthy ways. You may feel that in your family or community. This is a safe place to experiment. We find our strength in our diversity, not our conformity!
It is human scale connections that will help us navigate.
